The greatest challenge of this soccer match between 4 yr. olds was not the inability of the players to kick the ball with a high kick but to keep the camera level before snapping the shot. An exciting game with no scorekeeping where the most common cry from the crowd was: "The *other* way! kick the ball the *other* way!"

More pics after I return home and take a look at what they really look like.

Thanks, Lecter, and Steve.
I'm guessing that Steve added the "Very Good Olga. perfect DOF. Nice job." because I don't think I was talking to myself this morning. LOL!
The game was too short. It was over with very quickly or maybe time flies when you're having fun.
Here are some other shots I took:

Bob,
If you mean this picture,
http://home.comcast.net/~ojnews/soccer/257_5778_std.jpg
that's my grandson. His major pride and joy is his ability to touch his nose with his tongue. But I noticed that there were many tongues sticking out in many of the shots.
I used my 70-200L f4, at f4, ISO 200 or 400.

And my best shot (I think, anyway, after the cropping/editing) of that same game:

Nice shot David. Youth soccer can be a fun thing to shoot. Action is action, and a lot of those kids take it seriously, and most importtantly, they have a lot of fun.

Nice shots.. I do like the picture of the kids running through the ~tunnel~ of parents, family members.. nice way to get the whole family involved in a small way...
Dont you just love little kids playing soccer?? I always enjoyed watching my son about that age when he was playing..... but that was a long time ago ( he now lives on his own)

Scott,
Sorry for replying late. I was out of town. That page was done with Breezebrowser's "filmstrip" web style.
