Following our successful reunion in Indianapolis, we had talked a while back about a trip to the East Coast perhaps New York area or New England.
Before we take a head count any suggestions that we could pass around for comments?
Anyone interested? Firm commitments can come later

I spent 4 years out at The University of Maine, with my summers in and around the coast. I'd definitely recommend hitting Acadia National Park, and its little cousin to the northeast, Schoodic Point.
If you travel north along the coast from the Downeast region, you can snap away up in Machias--very picturesque area with blueberry fields, cranberry bogs, wonderful fall color, empty beaches.
Peak color is usually the 2nd -3rd week in October. Temperatures are usualyl mild and the summer crowds are gone. Nice time to get out there.

I grew up in New England and miss the fall season. That would be nice. I'm trying to coordinate a trip to visit my daughter, hoping to find covered bridges in the fall colors. Those are the kinds of things I associate with that season.

How stupid would I be if I was to fly into LGA instead of EWR? LaGuardia is less than 1/2 the cost of Newark. I'm thinking, that's for a very good reason - but then I've heard horror stories about Newark, too.

Sometimes we all have to sacrifice for convenience sake, especially when I'm the guy who will be picking you up at the airport......(Newark Airport, that is) Gleason Limo Service does not venture near Laguardia Airport.......

I guess we are in the "who will come" stage of our planning. I had offered to be somewhat of a host and to house a few here in Princeton......If thats the case a trip to NYC might fit into the agenda.......

Are we still talking first weekend in October (2nd/3rd)? I'm trying to coordinate with some other plans, and that may work for me.

It is my understanding in an IM conversation with Bob the other day that the first weekend of October is it.

I'm also trying to coordinate a trip to meet my 2 daughters in PA around that time. I'm hoping the timing for both will mesh. Hopefully will know more later this week.
