Hi Everyone,

I am on vacation in Sweden and want to process what I have taken so far here. The problem is I don't have any software that can convert CRW to JPG and I didn't bring my Digital Rebel software CD. Canon's site only has updates (why??) and you need to install at least one program from the original CD in order to use those updates.

So would it be possible for one of you Canon shooters to send me the original version of Canon's File Viewer Utility? I would appreciate that very much and I think it is should be OK with Canon since, as you know, I own the Drebel.

Please send it to <email address removed>. I will post here when someone has sent it.

Thank you very much!
- Henrik

I beleive IrfanView has a translator for Canon's Raw format. It's available free on the web. It may not be as good as Canon's own, but for some "let's see what it's like" experiments, I'm pretty sure it would be sufficient.

I've posted a copy for Henrik to download.

Thanks, Gary! And thanks to Don who also hosted it. I really appreciate it!

Mats: I want to convert the files to JPG, because I downloaded a program that is capable to view images in the CRW format but it was too slow (and I mean sloooow) on the computer I am using. I also want to do some basic corrections before I show the pictures to my family here. But thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers!

BTW: I'm pretty sure all the original software is on Canon's site. Start with Canon's original "Raw Image Converter" if you have to, and then simply apply the latest FVU update. (or rather: EVU!)

I just checked. If you go to http://powershot.com/, select "Download library" and then select the D60 as your camera, you can download the original RAW Image Converter and finally the EOS Viewer Utility upgrade.
