I guess no Maggot Brain fans here from '71...or Mothership Connection from the '80s...or Atomic Dog from the '90s.....a genious.

Thanks Anders...one of the amazing things about George Clinton's body of work is it's not one kind of music. Yo may only be familiar with some of his later popular radio hits. He is one of the most diverse in style artists out there.

Great shots as usual... not my kind of music though, despite being a bass player. :)

Yes, I'm sure I've only listened to a small fraction of his music... I associate him wih the funkier dance stuff, Bootsy Collins etc, and while that is quite interesting stuff from a bassists point of view, I'm not into the funk/dance/disco thing at all. But as you say, that was probably only one period.

If you ever get a chance, listen to "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic. It's a 1971 album that is of cult status. It is one of the original psych rock albums. absolutely mind blowing.
