Here you go, an Image I took this morning.
The second one is also a crop.
I was using a 150mm with a 1.7x T/C

Come on, Anders. Can't the bank account take one more big hit? It'll be fun. You'll get images like you've never gotten before. It'll be a whole new world of photography to explore. You can do it, I know you can. Go for it, it's only money.

Sure, and now swmbo is talking the D word just because I want to take out a 20 year second mortgage on the house so that I can get a camera just like yours. She just doesn't understand me......
By the way, the images are great. I really like the depth of field that you have acheived. Good work.

Why does everybody worry about the number of pixels they have? If you routinely make Very Large Prints and are a commercial photographer (or amateur - I assume? - with lots of money like Rob), then there's a point. But for the rest of us who rarely print larger than 11x14, a 6 to 8 MP DSLR or (gasp) 35mm film works fine.

Of course, if you want large format film quality from digital (without using a scanning back), why not try stitching? I tried it, and it's amazing how much detail you can get, without spending anything on camera upgrades. The subjects must be perfectly still, but IMHO it is architecture and landscape subjects that benefit most from this technique anyway - with other subjects, the detail doesn't matter that much (do you want to see every pore on the subject's face?). :)

By the way, congrats Rob. You're doing excellent work with your new "toy." I'm looking forward to see what other images you feel like sharing with us, no matter what camera they come from (though occasional 1:1 crops from the P25 certainly won't be looked upon with disdain). ;)

Impressive. That detail will really shine for landscapes and other w/a's where so many things get so small so quickly. Congrats on your new toy, Rob!

sob...sob...sob..
I often make 20x24 and 20x30 prints. Imagine how they'd look with that camera.

PS I feel guily for buying a PDA that I haven't told my hubby about. I couldn't sleep at night with that.

Most of the PDAs that I've seen I wouldn't want to sleep with either.

Now... Some of the PAs I've seen OTOH... mmmmmmh (insert Homer's drool here) :D

Now now Rune...... drooling makes the equipment (Camera) rust!!

hehe

I thought that was what the weather seal was all about?

What? No weather sealing on the P25/H1 combo? :D It's a good thing you didn't have your new camera on hand in November, otherwise I would've put it to the drooling test immediately.

BTW: From now on, Rob, whenever you post a picture, I'll ask "wow, that is great, but is it a crop?". :)

Lecter, aside from the P25 back, how do you like the H1 camera? I'm torn between the Mamiya 645AFD and the H1.

And along those lines, how does it compare to your 1DsM2? More to the point, from an ease of use standpoint is it cumbersome? It looks like it, but other people would say that about 1D cameras... Is it finicky in any way? What's the storage time per frame, that sort of thing? You've got me curious, not that I think I can afford one... Hmmm, how expensive is the glass? :p
