Hey I just had my first job. She is a friend who does theater and need some head shots so we agreed I would give her prints/cd in exchange for some practice on her. She liked them enough she show'd another actor and now he wants a few head shots. The two of the young girl was the job. She is coming back next week for additional pictures and her friend will be coming back with her for his. The older lady is my mother who just got over breast cancer and got her hair back so we took a few pictures today. And the baby is my son. Any advice on where I could do better? Thanks in advance for all your help! :)

All of the shots are definitely above the "acceptable" line. I'm not a portrait specialist, but I think the baby's face could do with some more lighting, particularly on the left side (baby's left).
Your mothers photo is "lively". Not sure that a closer crop wouldn't be a bit batter, maybe make it more square...

I like how the baby portrait came out. I don't know exactly what it is, I just like it. The one of your mom looks very natural, you would never know about the cancer. I'm glad that she was able to overcome such a big thing. Nice shots.

Thank you! I couldn't place what I love about the baby one either I just love it. I think its the expression witht the lighting.
She has gone through alot and is actually still going through stuff with the cancer. She always says she never takes good pictures but I made her come over to take pictures!! Thanks for the nice compliments!!
