Ken Gullickson and I spent the weekend photographing Skip Barber School racing at Road America in Wisconsin. Skip Barber is a national training school for open-wheel racing. The school also holds racing events at many of the great tracks across the country. I have a friend who races in the Masters National (old guys) category, which is why we made the trip. This is my third attempt at racing photography this summer, and I think my best panning results. The shutter speed on all of these was 1/100 sec.

My friend Dick Lippert, who currently is third in the season-long standings, with one event to go. Shot with the 135L.

This young lady's name is Julia. She's 14 and had no trouble outracing the field of men in her class. 100-400L

Nice work Gary..All show altho #4 either was a bit oof, not sharpened during processing or panning wasn't as in good sync. I'm really impressed with #1. 3 wheels showing and the angle of the shot gives a good impression of the speed and an interesting angle.
Nicely done!
