I have a i9900 that's about a year old and it's been sitting unused for several months now. I KNOW there will be issues relating to putting the printer back into service, but I'm not sure I know what all they will be.

Other than having to replace the inks, which is a foregone conclusion (right?), there may be clogged print heads. Should I look for other things, as well?

Once I get the unit back up and running, I'll not repeat this mistake.

Appreciate any thoughts.

Hi,
Although I don't have that particular model, I do have experience with photo printers that sat idle "too long". The most amazing thing about my Epson printer was that it printed absolutely fine after 2-3 months of non-use. I ran a head cleaning cycle right after powering up (maybe I didn't even need to do this?!?) and there was no discernible color or ink-related problems with any of the prints I made that day.
So, my advice to you is, Try It. You may be pleasantly surprised. I suspect that the worst case scenario is you need to run multiple head cleaning cycles. Unless the ink cartridges are really old, I don't think they'll be a problem ... when installed properly, they're well protected from light and air (I hesitate calling them hermetically sealed at this point, but I bet they're close).
Good luck!
