There have been a few discussions regarding this subject here on Dphoto... following are the photo editing guidelines just published by Reuters. Click here (http://blogs.reuters.com/2007/01/18/the-use-of-photoshop).

Very interesting guidelines set forth by Reuters. I especially found the allowance of sensor dust removal interesting.

I have never done any work for them, but I do send stuff to many wires.

I pretty much already did these things anyway.

The only thing that is a little different I noticed is.

Sharpening should be set at zero (0) in the camera. Pictures may then be sharpened by 300% at a radius of 0.3, threshold 0, in Photoshop.

I set mine at 500%, radius of 0.2, and threshold 0.

Thanks for the read Steve!

Very interesting. The rules are very similar to my personal ones. I use my field computer just for sorting files. I wait till I get home to do any color changes or dust removal.

I read though the comments below. There are an awful lot of people who wanted to turn that into an argument about art v journalism for no reason that I could see. Perplexing to me...

Yeah, if I'm using my laptop, I can't really make color correction anyway. Because I don't want to screw it up worse.
