Rocco Deluca & The Burden stunned the audience at the Vogue, Indianapolis with a show that will go down in the memory banks as a concert near the top of the list of all attending. On their first US headlining tour, Rocco beat his Dobro guitar, hit high-octane, high octave melodies with a style that is distinctly Deluca.
“Our set tonight pays tribute to Americana and Spirituals that we enjoyed growing up” said Deluca with a somewhat sheepish and boy-like innocence. But his music is anything but child-like as his guitar skills parallel with some of the masters of great blues and rock guitar. “Swing Low” was an early highlight as he masterfully played his guitar vertically and upside-down. Rocco and the Burden also tried out a new song, “Painfully Pretty” (written about a train ride) which he dedicated to great folk artists that influenced his work.
