My software is ancient!

I'm going to have to upgrade some software before I buy a new computer. Looking for advice on newer, better systems.

Here's what I use for my workflow now..
PS3..not too bad
Adobe Pagemill 3.0...to make my html pages for website...old old old!
Breezebrowser to make my online photo albums for proofs.
FTP 95...really 95??
QImage..to print photos on my Epson 4800..can't live without it
Quickbooks 2005..works well..for now

I really cannot advise you as to what software you should use. I can tell you what I'm using. CS5 because I upgraded my camera body to a Canon 7D. Prior to that I used CS3. CS5 has some significant changes that may be of interest, but be aware its a computer memory and cpu hog. So, if you don't have a solid Computer with preferably a 64 bit operating system don't bother.

I use JAlbum to create my website. Its pretty cool and FREE. It will also ftp the content to your site. I use FileZilla for other FTPing, again FREE.

For proofing I simply post to my Digibug account (digibug.com) files converted to jpg from CS5 .

I use CS5 to print to my Canon Pixma Pro 9000. I've custom profiles for paper I buy at ultrafineonline.com.

I don't have enough business (semi-pro) to bother with computerized bookkeeping.

I've hears of JALbum but not the others. As long as it's free what can I lose to try it out. I'll check out the others also. I need a new computer. I probably won't upfrade to CS5 until I get a new one. My system was custom built, top of the line, six years ago. Oh well ....
I print final prints only on Kodak Pro paper. My Epson had a way of making the white look a really different finish from the printed area. I don't see that in the Kodak paper. For proofing paper, I buy from Inkjetart.com. The kodak paper, I buy where ever I can find it the cheapest.
