blurred pictures

I took by neices pictures a year ago with a Fuji fine pix 2.0. All the pictures are dark, blurry and just plain bad. Is there a way to salvage them? I am very illiterate with photo programs. I have picassa 2 and have access to adobe 8, but don't know how to do the changes. I need really simple steps and the tutorials are mind erasing!!!!!! Including 2 of the pics. Thank you so much Clo

Re: blurred pictures

As you say the quality is quite poor, it would be difficult to make a great picture out of those. If we were to attempt some processing you should supply the original file (full size), these small images would not be a good starting point. I'd say number two is hopeless. Maybe a small(ish) image can be made from number one or three where there is some detail.

Re: blurred pictures

To me, it looks like those pictures where taken with too wide a lens, and then were cropped down, and expanded to the size they are now.

They are very grainy (which could be caused by the camera struggling with the amount of light), and maybe they've also got JPEG artifacts from being opened and saved multiple times.

Unfortunately, it's very hard to "recreate" the original content in images like these.

If you have the original image, it would help a bit, because I think these are worse than the originals for some reason... [At least I hope so...]
