Issue with ProShow Gold

Hello everyone. I have a question regarding PSG that i am hoping someone can help me with.

I got married in September and today we visited our photographer to see our wedding shots. She had assembled them into a slideshow in PSG and showed us the slideshow from the actual PSG interface itself. In order for us to have some time to look at them in our own time she burned the slideshow onto a CDR for us. At this stage she mentioned to me an issue she was having with the quality of the slideshow on the CDR and played it for us. In comparison to when she played the slideshow from the PSG interface, the CDR was noticably poorer. The PSG version was crystal clear and looked great but on the CDR it looked a bit blurred and not half as sharp. She isnt sure why this happened and seeing as i am more of a techie type person i said i would raise the issue on her behalf, and here i am...

So there ya go, it would be great (both for her and us) if someone wa able to shed some light on why this might happen etc...

I wish I could help, but I can say that I am having problems with the PSG software as well. I had not made any slideshows since I upgraded to the latest version until last night. I could create the slideshow and it worked fine within PSG, but it would not let me burn to a dvd or cd. The solution I finally came up with was to unistall the new version and reinstall the old version. That worked. I have no idea if that will help with your situation, but it is a thought. Have her check and see what version she is using.

Good idea..Did the banner come back in your slides ?

Anyway of getting rid of this without forking the $70 ..

Hi guys, thanks for the input. Ill get back to her and suggest updating the software / reinstalling etc...

Im going to get a trial version of it and get the photos she used and try to recreate the slideshow on my own PC and see if theres anything i can discover myself. I know technical issues with computers are not her strongpoint so ill try myself an hopefully get back to her (and my wife) with a solution!

If anyone else has suggestions please let me know. Ill let ya all know how i get on in case its of use to someone else!

Oh by the way if what you mean by the "banner" is the ProShow splash screen then yes it is on the DVD. Another thing i noticed is that she put in blank slides with stuff written on them in between some of the slides and i think some of them arent showing...
