This looks like a nice baby. My 1Ds Mark II, now in the hands of another able Photog was alway right up there with IQ and usability. Now we get a new and improved 1Ds Mark III with a few more MP's, improved functionality and ready to gave someone like me heart palpitations in anticipation... well, not quite, it's not 39MP yet!!)

I look forward to getting my sticky fingers on one and running it through its paces.

Although I am getting to like the MF way of Photography which is much more structured.

Hi all,

Any word on when this puupy is going to be released in the US and Canada. I am on our local dealers wait list here in Canada but he can't give me a definate date when I can expect to get mine. I've heard End of September, End of October and seeing as those two where not correct I am not placing much faith in his End of November prediction either.

Anyone out there got the solid poop on this one?

I can't remember where, but I read something about it not clearing FCC regulations yet for the US market. I thought it was expected to clear by the end of this month, though.
