i've been meaning to comment on a couple of images lately this one included. i'm sure i'm not the only one that has started a comment, come back to it 20-30 minutes later, and canceled it. 
this one stands out to me i guess because his sheer expression of joy combined with the funky makeup and light just makes it work. great capture and composition.

Thanks Kevin, this band is fun to shoot because they always dress outrageously. In hindsight I don't know if clipping the ear hurt this shot or not, but my intent was to get a tight pic with just the face and mic. Also I love using a long zoom in a dark club since it really isolates the subject and makes the background dark or black.
