Just thought I would try something a little bit different - an L shaped panorama, with 3 shots across and then three up...

Browndog, see what you've started!! It's a sickness that's spreading with increasing speed. We're all doomed.

David, Nice shot and very innovative. Now you have my head spinning with new ideas. The black box is a bit much, but that's not relevant to what you're demonstrating here. As a magazine editor, I can see several possibilities for this approach to create some unique article layouts.

There's a photographer in Lima, OH named Michael Ayers who designs wedding albums that have fold-out pages and crazy-cool stuff like this. I think his web site is www.theayers.com

Jeff, I had a look at that site - quite interesting layouts... (in fact some of the church interiors with the foldouts did have a similar overall frame shape to a couple of pan stitches I was thinking of trying at some stage).

Gary, does the black background look a bit stark from a presentation point of view? The stitching program I used for this one put in a black background by default, and I did not bother to change it (since my standard way of displaying images at the moment usually consists of full screen on the monitor - which normally lends itself fine to black backgrounds). If it was to be printed, with some text - maybe like a postcard, I suppose a light or white border would be much better.

Does this quick alternate mock-up look better?
