Gorgeous colors, so warm! Do they really still have someone coming by and filling the milk jugs?

I keep coming back to this photo ... it's just perfect in its simplicity and beautiful color. Great job!

I like this also, but the longer I look at it, the more I want the milk jug to go away so I can just look at the shadows, color and texture. Great shot though.

I'm with the Queen on this one. Very nice as presented, but without the milk jug, a superb shot. Those colors and textures are absolutely captivating.

OK, I already commented, and I'm about to challenge the recommendations of two opinions I highly respect, but here goes ...
While I admit it might be a better *abstract* shot without the milk jug, I simply must disagree with the suggestion to remove it. The milk jug tells the story ... heck, the milk jug IS the story. I can look at this photo and construct a bedtime story I might've shared with my kids when they were young. I can't see changing a thing.
My $0.02 worth (again).

Sparky. you bring to mind an ending to a poem I wrote years ago...."
And no doubt, as you cast your gaze upon these images,
Your eyes will see a different scene
As each author creates a unique perspective of the solitary event....."
That's the great thing about photos....they evokes different feelings in each one of us, and I'm happy that the milk jug warms you and I can see your point about creating a story around it. Your opinion has as much merit as Gary's or mine. I just happen to be captured by simplicity of late, and I guess I impose that on the things I see.

What a wonderful capture,.......colors are amazing....and I keep wondering why the jug was there, who left it and who would be picking it up......the mind goes on and on with scenes like these

One sign of a good photo is that it sparks debate.
It might be hard to accept visually that the colour of this photo wasn't skewed without the milk jug. Having the white in the photo helps for me, though I agree that graphically it would (also) be a great photo without it.
