This is a good capture from an angle rarely seen/tried. Good DOF and exposure on this. The background is rather hard to handle, but nature doesn't always cooperate. You might try a vertical panorama crop to put more emphasis on the spider and eliminate much of the background. I would definitely consider cropping some from the top.
That aside, much credit for not giving us the usual spider/web shot showing the back of the spider. This angle draws us in and gives us an opportunity to see this subject in a very different way. The web fading out to the right is another nice addition to this image.
In general, well seen and shot with a good dose of creativity.

He wouldn't move and this is the only shot I could take.
