I have friends that have hiked this, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Maybe with a harness and caribeners, but even then it's unlikely. Congrats to all those who do make it up there and share these pics though!

I think walking up to the shoulder at the base of the cables is actually steeper and harder work, but the rock is not as slick as it is where the cables are. Once you grab the cables though, as long as it isn't wet, its pretty secure. You should try at least once.
