Minolta DiMage A2 Review

Review Complete

The Minolta DiMage A2 is Minolta's new flagship fixed lens digital camera. Building on the popularity and success of the A1, the A2 features 8 million pixels, anti-shake, an improved viewfinder, plus much more which we'll get into in a bit.

As I'm used to shooting with a couple of Canon 1D's and several thousand dollars worth of lenses whenever I am working, I was very anxious to see how the latest crop of "Top Shelf" fixed lens digital cameras handled. A camera can have all the bells and whistles and whizz bang gizmos in the world. But to me, it all boils down to whether or not the camera can make a picture you are proud of. Other important aspects are simplicity of use and build quality. These are two vital requirements for cameras of this class.
